Mrs. Kent Rites Held At Todd

Mrs. Beulah Dobbin Kent, 64, wife of Reverend, L. F. Kent, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, died Thursday at her home in the Indian Springs community, near Kingsport, Tennessee.

She was a native of Todd, North Carolina. She graduated from the Philadelphia Deaconess Home and Training School in 1921 and was married to Mr. Kent in June 1925.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Harold J. Kent, Kingsport; one daughter, Miss Elizabeth L. Kent, Charlotte, North Carolina; her parents, the Reverend and Mrs. Hugh A Dobbin, Lenoir, North Carolina; two brothers, Bynum S. Dobbin, Banner Elk, North Carolina and Edgar A. Dobbin, Lenoir, North Carolina; one sister, Mrs. Mary S. Moore, Atlanta, Georgia and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

The Reverend S. Wesley Toal, assistant rector and Reverend John Simpson Atmore, former assistant rector now of Elizabethton, conducted the service.

Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Charles Dobbin, Hugh Dobbin, Wade Miller, James Miller, Bill White, Roger Brown.

An additional service was held at 1 p.m. Monday at the St. Matthews Mission at Todd, North Carolina and burial followed in the family cemetery.

Mrs. Lillian Hopkins and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Cook attended Mrs. L. F. Kent's funeral at Todd Monday afternoon. Mrs. Ken Died in Kingsport, Tennessee Saturday following a long illness.
