Esther Louise Stephens Revised Obituary:
Mrs. Esther "Esta" Louise Stephens, 67, of Oxnard, died yesterday in her home after a brief illness.
A 48 year resident of Ventura County, she was born May 7, 1901 in Friendsville, Tennessee. She lived in Simi before moving to Oxnard in 1946. Surviving are her husband, Dolphus (married August 25th, 1918); son, Herbert; daughter, Louise Vang; brother, Roy Gooden; sisters, Mrs. Anna Drake, and Mrs. Vada Spores; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren at the time of her death.
Services will be at 11 am Saturday in the Loma Vista Chapel of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph W. Kizer of the El Rio Full Gospel Church officiating. Soloist will be Helen Griggs; organist Margaret Eggert. Burial will be in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
