Services for James Nelson Chamblee, retired farmer of northeast Itawamba County near Red Bay, Ala., were held May 8, 1966 at the Providence Baptist Church with burial in the Providence Cemetery with Senter Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Chamblee, who was 85, died May 6 at his home after an illness of seven months. He had suffered a stroke.
Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Pernia Chamblee; three sons, Edgar Chamblee and Elgar Chamblee of Zion, Ill., and Hershell Chamblee of Red Bay; a daughter, Mrs. Varnell Wilson of Tremont; a brother, J. W. Chamblee of Fulton; a sister, Mrs. Mae Reich of Fulton; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
