Lena was the daughter of Simeon Cox and Samantha Ellen (Summers) Cox. She was married two times. Lena's first husband was Edward Edgar "Ed" McFadden (1882-1926). They were married in 1907 and had three children together: Clara, Charles and Edgar Burdette McFadden. After Edward died, Lena married Elmer Wallace (1886-1971) on April 10, 1941.
