SADIE DEELSNYDER, 86, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, December 6, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA.

Sadie was born November 18, 1924 in Kenosha, WI to Peter and Anna (Postma) Dykstra. She was educated in the Bunker Hill and Cottonwood Schools in rural Whiteside County. She married Willard J. Deelsnyder on December 18, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He died February 18, 1985. Sadie worked at Bennett Box and Burpee Seed in Clinton, IA and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Fulton. She enjoyed baking and helping others.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Ann (Mitch) Tiesman of Fulton, IL; one grandson, Todd Alan Tiesman; three sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Vanderlaan of Morrison, IL; Mrs. Marianna Smith and Betty (Gerald) Boelkens both of Fulton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; one sister, Rose Zuidema; and two brothers, Sidney and Frank Dykstra.
