Mrs. Mariah Bebee-Haskins was
born in Lorraine, Jefferson county,
N. Y., on June 19, 1820, and died at
her home in Genoa township Tuesday,
April 9, 1895, after an illness of a few
weeks.
Deceased was married to Horace
Haskins at Lorraine, March 11, 1841.
The family of Mr. and Mrs. Haskins
has included seven children, only two
of whom survive her. Those living
are Mrs. John Haines and Mrs. Daniel
Beebe. Besides these children they
had an adopted son, Horace. Mrs.
Haskins was a sister of Mrs. John
Rowley, of Sycamore. Mr. Haskins
is now so seriously ill that it is feared
he may not survive the shock of her
death. The funeral services were
from the house on Thursday forenoon,
Rev. Crane officiating, and the remains
were interred at Chartre Grove cemetery.
