Funeral services for Dorothy Jane Jones Roberts, 59, of Ogden, Utah, formerly of Rock Springs, were conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Rock Springs, the Rev. Frank Blish officiating. Burial was in the Mountain View section of Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Phillips, Joe Feith Jr., Edwin Dunn Jr., Forrest Kessner, John Eusek and Harry Jones.

Mrs. Roberts died Sunday, Feb. 18, at St. Benedict’s Hospital in Ogden, where she had been a patient since Jan. 31. She had been in ill health for the past year.

Born March 8, 1913, she was the daughter of Bert H. and Mary Jane McCourt Jones. She was married to Chester M. Roberts in Ogden on Oct. 30, 1933.

An Ogden resident since 1956, she was a former longtime Rock Springs resident.

Surviving are her husband, Chester of Ogden; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert H. Jones of Ogden; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Mary Ann) McMillan of Rawlins and Mrs. Larry (Judy) McNalley of Rock Springs; two brothers, John E. Jones and Bert McCourt Jones, both of Ogden; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel M. Dodgen of Ogden, Mrs. Robert E. (Betty) Galbraith of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Jack R. (Bernice) Williams of Rock Forrest, Ill., Mrs. R.H. (Ella Jean) Wartham of Carson City, Nev.; an aunt, Mrs. Sara McDonald of Yucca Valley, Calif.; an uncle, Sam McCourt of Laramie; 12 grandchildren, three nieces, six nephews, three great-nieces and three great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bennie Hugh Roberts, who died in 1942.
