MOSE FLEURY KILLED IN MINNEAPOLIS
Word was received last Thursday by Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Fleury, of Pattersonville, that their son, Mose Fleury, had been seriously hurt while working as a lineman in Minneapolis. His brother Frank left for that city Friday morning, but found his brother had died when he arrived. Mose Fleury was an expert linemanm and a member of the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and at the time of his death, was working stringing telephone wires for the Twin City Telephone Co., on 14th avenue east, between 7th and 8th streets in Minneapolis. While working in a tree, the limb on which he stood, broke, and he fell to the pavement, a distance of 12 feet, head first, fracturing his skull and producing injuries from which he died Friday noon. Business Agent Frank Flanagan of the Minneapolis Linesmen’s Union, made all arrangements in that city, and the remains arrived here Sunday evening and were interred in Calvary cemetery Tuesday morning, the funeral being held from St Charles’ church. Mr. Fleury at one time worked here for the Electric Light Co., and had many friends both here and in Minneapolis, where he was liked by all who knew him. Mr. and Mrs. Fleury and family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement. Published in the Cheboygan Democrat, Friday, December 22, 1905, Page 1.
