Mrs. Garland was united in marriage to David A. Garland on Nov 6, 1889.
Surviving to mourn her departure are the following children: W. Blair Garland, Lewv H. Garland and Ruth (Mrs. Carl Garland), all of Needmore, Pa.; Flora (Mrs. Erby Booth), Hancock, Md., R. 1, and Mabel (Mrs. Lee Truax), Clairton, Pa. One infant daughter, deceased. She is also survived by 16 grand children who were wonderfully devoted to her. One sister Jennie, widow of the late Geo. S. Mellott, one brother Rev. Charles C. Garland and one half-sister Emma (Mrs. Mason Mellott), all near Needmore. She was a kind Christian mother, having been a member of the Christian church for 57 years. Always devoted to her children.
Her remains were laid to rest in Pleasant Grove cemetery, Sunday afternoon by the side of her husband, who preceded her 23 years ago.
