Daisy Channell, 82, formerly of 1119 Monroe died at 8:45 pm, October 28, 1986, at Ridgewood Care Center.
She was born April 29, 1904, at Salt Creek in Davis County to Alva and Laura Belle Stater Christy. A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, , she was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church. She married Arthur L. Channell March 19, 1927.
She is survived by her husband; three brothers, Earl, Rex and Raymond Christy, all of Ottumwa; and a sister, Marvel Shoemaker of Ottumwa.
The service will be 10:30 am Friday at Bible Baptist Church, the Rev. Ival Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Paulbearers will be James, Bob and Dick Christy, Doug Bauman, Orie McFarland and Mickey Hucks.
The family will be at Reece Funeral Home from 7-9 pm today.
A memorial has been established to the Bible Baptist Church.
