KING, NC ~ Rebecca "Becky" Baker Craig, 77, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Village Care of King. She was born August 11, 1931 in Stokes County to Henry Ralph and Mary Elizabeth Slate Baker. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Edward "Duke" Craig and a brother, Philmore Baker. Becky was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and was a longtime employee of Town & Country Restaurant in King. Surviving are two daughters, Kathie C. (Donnie) Bowman, and Rhonda G. Craig; three grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jeremy Bowman, and Mikal Hauser; four great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn (Lloyd) Mabe, and a brother, Rex (Helen) Baker. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, at Slate Funeral Home, in King, with the Rev. James Saul officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening, Friday, October 24, at the funeral home.
