Mrs. Ella Parker, 34 years old, wife of Jim Parker of route 5, died at her home Monday evening after an illness lasting many months. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon by the Rev. William Oakes, pastor of the Congregational Church, at Bigham's Chapel, and burial was in Gibson Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker was the mother of seven children, all of whom, with her husband, survive her. Until she became ill she was a regular attendant at the Congregational Church. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge in the Kansas town in which the family lived before coming here, and was past noble grand of that lodge.
