He may, according to the article, be buried in an unmarked grave with his wife in Providence Baptist Church area, in Pettis County. There is no records so far of him living in Benton County at all. Other articles show he was buried in Pettis County too.

The 1840 Missouri state census lists George Cathey, living in Flat Creek, Pettis County, Missouri, age 85. He and his family had moved to Missouri, settling in Cooper County. He was living with a daughter in Pettis County in the 1840 census.
