Beulah Mae Adams, 84, of Memphis, died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 23, 1893 the daughter of Willis George and Alice Cunningham Grinstead, and was a former school teacher.

She and her husband operated a general store in Granger. An active member of Arbela Methodist Church, she spent most of her life in Scotland County.

She married Ira D. Adams on April 22, 1918 at Memphis, and he survives.

Also surviving are a son, Wayne Adams of Keokuk; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Twila) Fulk of Arbela and Mrs. Lawrence (Alice) Smith of Granger, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services were Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Memphis Methodist Church with the Rev. Neil Dubach and Rev. Elmer Revelle officiating. Burial was in the Memphis Cemetery.

Arrangements were by Payne Funeral Home of Memphis.
