Obituary: Funeral Tuesday for Mrs. Arnott

Funeral services for Mrs. William (Caroline) Arnott, 85, former resident of the town of Newbold, who died last Sunday in Olympia, Wash., will be held at 2 PM at in the Carlson Funeral Home here.

The Rev. Ralph Austin will officiate. The body will be in state at the Carlson Funeral Home from noon Monday until the time of services. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

Mrs. Arnott was born Nov. 17, 1869 in the Huron County, Michigan. She and her husband came to Oneida county in 1893 and operated a farm in the town of Newbold until 1944. On April 15, 1944, Mr. Arnott Died. Shortly thereafter Mrs. Arnott moved to Olympia, Wash. Mrs. Arnott fractured her hip last March and her health progressively failed.

Surviving are five sons, Roy, of Sacramento, CA.; George of Natige,; Ernest, of Tenino, WA; Elton of Tomahawk; Cecil, Star Rte 2; two daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Elma) Rice of Olympia, and Mrs. Ellis (Thelma) Rice of Rhinelander; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Denhoff of Davisburg MI and Mrs. Maggie Nichols, of Seattle, WA; 30 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Caroline was the daughter of Robert Gorbutt and Elizabeth Kirkpatrick Gorbutt.
