Andrew Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.P. Olson, living north of town, died very suddenly at the N. P. Hospital, at Missoula, Mont., Oct 27, 1911, of Euphremia. He was 27 years, 1 month, and 5 days old at the time of his death.
Mr. Olson was born in Merrillan September, 1884. His boyhood days were mostly spent in and around Merrillan, and he was educated in our schools, but for the past six years has been engaged in the telegraph line work, first working for the Omaha company as lineman, later he went west doing some work for the N. P. road. The last two years of his life were spent in Spokane Wash., where he was division man for the N. P. Telegraph Co.
He was taken sick about two weeks ago, but did not go to the hospital until about a week ago, when his disease took a firmer hold upon him. While there he seemed buoyant and full of high spirits, thinking he would be there only a short time.
Mr. Olson was a member of the local order M.W.A. and carried $2000 insurance in that order. The funeral was attended by members of the order in a body, and the body buried from the church, in Oakwood cemetery. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. A. D. Moore.
