Victor E. Peterson

ESCANABA – Victor Emanuel Peterson, 82, 1118 Washington Ave., Escanaba, was dead on arrival at St. Francis Hospital Thursday morning.

He was born Feb. 16, 1900, in Stonington, and was the retired owner of the Peterson Block Co. His wife, the former Anna Bonefeld, died on August 27, 1980.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. H. Robert (Ardell) Allen, Escanaba, and Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Loodeen, Escanaba, and two grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Ernest (Edith) Erickson, Escanaba.

He is a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Independent Order of Oddfellows and the Stonington Booster Club.

Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today. Funeral services will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Odland officiating. Burial will be in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

ESCANABA – Services for Victor E. Peterson, 82, of 1118 Washington St., were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. O.K. Odland officiated.

Visitation was held Friday evening at the Anderson Funeral Home. Burial was in the Gardens of Rest.

Mr. Peterson, well-known retired owner of the Peterson Block Co. of Escanaba, was pronounced dead upon arrival Thursday morning at St. Francis Hospital. He was born on Feb. 16, 1900 in Stonington, where he and his wife, Anna, who died in 1980, made their home during the summer months. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the International Order of Odd Fellows, and a member of the Stonington Booster Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rovert (Ardell) Allen and Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Loodeen, both of Escanaba; two grandchildren, Daniel Allen and Mrs. Gary (Deborah) Tolman of Wells; and a sister, Mrs. Ernest (Edith) Erickson.
