Benjamin Dennis Lindsey's date of birth appears in his parents' bible as 12 April 1887, and he reported the same date of birth when he filed his World War I draft registration card in Coushatta, Louisiana. This is also the date of birth he used throughout his life. For reasons not clear to me, the year of birth was given as 1890 on his death certificate, and that's the year which appears on his tombstone. I've recorded the correct date of birth on the memorial page.
