Helen Blanche Lindsey Compere, age 84, graduated on May 18, 2006.
She was born on April 15, 1922 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Benjamin Dennis Lindsey and Vallie Snead Lindsey.
Helen received her Registered Nurse diploma from the Warner Brown Hospital Nursing School, El Dorado, Arkansas in 1943. She worked for many years in private practice with Drs. Edward Gabet, Robert Moers, William Sutton, and Sik Choo.
Helen was a member of South Main Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Benjamin Dennis Lindsey and Henry Carlton Lindsey, and her daughter who died following birth, Linda Lucille Compere.
Survived by her husband of 62 years, Lee Compere, son, Ben Compere, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2006 in the chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Rd. Interment will follow in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
