Found by Brother, With Whom He Lived, East of Bandon.
Wallen H. Alexander, 74, who had been living with his brother, G. M. Alexander, on a cranberry farm east of Bandon for a number of years, was found dead on the place Monday afternoon. When he failed to return to the house at the expected time, his brother went out to look for him and discovered the body.
The body was placed in the charge of the Schroeder Bros. Mortuary and Dr. E. F. Lucas, deputy coroner, made an examination, finding that the death was due to drowning.
The deceased was born in Kentucky, November 4, 1866. Besides his brother here, he leaves a brother, W. A. Alexander, at Woodburn, Oregon, and a nephew, John Alexander of Bandon. He was unmarried.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Bandon, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. D. Loree officiating. Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
