John Alexander, well known young man of this community, son of Mr. and Mrs. George M. Alexander, passed away at the home of his parents East of Bandon, Friday, April 25, 1941, at the age of 24 years, one month, and one day. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Bandon Sunday, April 27, at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. D. Loree officiating. Interment under direction of Schroeder Bros. Mortuary was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
John Leonard Alexander was born in Kentucky and came here with his parents at the age of 7. He attended local schools, graduating from high school four years ago. Later he attended the State College at Ashland, but was forced to quit on account of illness.
