On Dec. 11, 1884, Henry married Annie Pinkerton. To this union were born four children: Sadie 1886-1946), wife of Clifford Caudle of Ellis Grove; Nora V. #7647263 (1890-1890), who died in infancy; Clarence #7647672 (1891-1916), who married Claudia Mansker of Pleasant Ridge; and James Leslie #7935836 (1894-1974), who married Myrtle Mifflin of Chester.

According to his obituary, he and Annie joined the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church together. He became a decon of the church. He lived his Christianity: was honest, fair and square in dealing with fellow men; industrious and thrifty, a careful farmer, a tender husband, a loving father, a good man to own as brother or friend.
