Rose, born in Ripley Twp, was the 2nd of 12 children of Charles & Ann Hopkins. She had siblings Addie, Jennie, James, Fred, Artie, Celestia, Maud, Lorana, Elizabeth, Ray & Roy. Celestia, Lorana, twin Roy died young. She was 16 when her mother Ann died in 1880 and her father then married Harriet Lincoln in 1885 and they had four sons, Charles, Carl, Walter & Leland.
Rose was 18 when she married John Miller, he was 24, on Jan. 11, 1883 in Huron Co, likely Ripley Twp. They had two children listed above. Florence was just a toddler of 16 months when she died.
Rose & John had been married 44 years when John died on April 16, 1927 at age 67. Rose passed away 7 years later on Nov. 14, 1934 at age 70. Both are buried at Edwards Grove Cemetery.

ROSE ELLA MILLER, residing in Ripley, Ohio where she passed away on Nov. 14, 1934 at 10:00 pm from an operation to close a partial opening of stomach due to a duodenal ulcer at age 70y 28d. Interment in Edwards Grove Cemetery on Nov. 15th.
Informant was son Paul Miller of Greenwich. He stated she was born in Carson,? OH on Oct. 15, 1864. Her father was Charles Hopkins born in NJ; mother was Anna Mitchell.
