Jennie Eva was born March 20, 1866 in Ripley Twp, OH, the 3rd of 12 children of Charles & Ann Hopkins. She had siblings Addie, Rose, James, Fred, Artimesia, Celestia, Maud, Lorana [she died a 1 yr], Elizabeth, and twins Ray & Roy. She had brothers from her father's 2nd wife, Charles, Carl, Walter & Leland.
Jennie married Edwin Bell on Sept. 2, 1883 in Huron County [likely Ripley]. They had no children.
Edwin died in Cleveland, OH on May 11, 1918. Jennie then married William David Sherwood on Jan. 22, 1920. They were only married seven years when Jennie died on Nov. 2, 1927. William died 9 years later on Jan. 10, 1936 in CA, and is buried at Marlborough Cemetery in Delaware, OH with his first wife. Jennie & Edwin are both buried at Edwards Grove Cemetery. [10/9/14]

Informant was 2nd husband W. D. Sherwood. He stated she was born in Greenwich on March 20, 1866. Her parents were Charles W. Hopkins, born in N.J. and Ann Mitchell, born in MI. [10/9/14]
