Jerry Peterson, 76, of Pleasant Grove passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 at his home. Jerry was born March 31, 1935 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Jesse Bardine and Laura Curtis Peterson. He married Carol Evans on July 18, 1980 in American Fork. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple.
Jerry grew up in Provo and graduated from Provo High School in 1953. Jerry joined the U. S. Air Force and served as a jet mechanic. He worked for the State of Utah for 28 years as a Supervisor for the paint crew. Jerry had a great love for his family and enjoyed every minute spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Carol; seven children: Tina Hazel, Sherry Kelley, Gerald Thomas, Michael Evans, Laura (Jeff) Morrey, Nicole (Chris) Scorsone, Lance (Jenn) Peterson; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and brothers-in-law, Marrell Barney and Stephen Parker.
