Services for John C Harrington, 55, of 708 Wagner St, will be at 1 pm Tuesday in CM Sloan 7 Sons Funeral Home, Rev Dale Wolcott officiating. Burial will be in the Lindenwood Cemetery. Mr Harrington died at 10 pm Thursday at his residence.
A native of Randolph County, he lived most of his life in Fort Wayne and attended the Village Green Free Methodist Church. He was employed by the OIM Transit Co 28 years and was a member of Teamsters Union local 414.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey; two sons, John R, Fort Wayne, and Carl E, in the Marine Corps, Cherry Point, NC; two daughters, Mrs Mary Heasion and Mrs Sharon Crothers, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Jesse P, Melvindale, Mich, and Elmer E, New Haven; three sisters, Mrs Ida Lanier, Mrs Itha Quickle and Mrs Julie Shirely, all of Fort Wayne; and eight grandchildren.
