Edwin was the son of William and Frances (Gorman) Altenbach. On 9 Apr 1945, he married Dorothy J Funni. Survivors include 3 sons; Michael E of Spencerville, John K and Paul J, both of Lima; three daughters: Sandra M Altenbach of Wilkes Barre, PA, Patricia L Zupka of Silver Springs, Md, and Nancy Mechling of Lima. Edwin is survived by two brothers: William F, Jr of Lima and Ronald J Altenbach, Waynesfield.
Mr. Altenbach owned and operated his own barber shop in Lima for 40 yrs. He was a member of St Charles Catholic Church; VFW Post #1275, and a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge
