Lois Brunia passed away September 10, 2011, at 90 years of age.
Lois was born to David James Stookey and Alice Muriel Lockhart on a farm near Brandon, Iowa, on January 16, 1921. Later the family moved to Des Moines where she grew up. She graduated from East High School and married Frank Brunia in 1946. They had three children.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice (Ken) Weaver of Indianola; son, Fred Brunia of Ankeny; daughter-in-law, Edee Brunia of Norwalk; special niece, Susan (John) Alshouse of Bondurant; and brother David Stookey of Apple Valley, MN. She had eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brunia; son, Frank William Brunia; parents, two sisters and four brothers.
