Mrs Jane C Whitsel died this morning shortly after 1 o'clock at her home near Hebron of paralysis. She had been unconscious for two days. She had been an invalid for the past two years and her last stroke of paralysis occurred six weeks ago. She was formerly Miss Jane Carr, daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Carr, and wsa born at Hebreon in 1840. Her entire life was spent in that neighborhood. Her husband, Isaac Whitsel, died twenty-two years ago. Mrs Whitsel is survived by three sons, David Whitsel, of this city; William C Whitsel, of West Lafayette, and Luther T Whitsel, of Hebron. Deceased was a member of the Mt Zion Methodist church and was a devout Christian and a woman of noble charcter. She was a devoted mother and a kind neighbor and was loved by all who knew her. Her death is a shock of her many friends. The funeral will be held at Mt Zion M E Church at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. Rev O S Stewart officiating. Interment in Hebron Cemetery.
