Maria Avila, 45, of Saragosa, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Mass was held at 1 p.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Saragosa, with burial in Saragosa Cemetery.
She was born March 25, 1960, in Durango, Mexico, was a lifetime Pecos resident, a laborer and a Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Margarito Avila; her parents, Manuel Rivas and Ignacia Nevarez; four sons, Daniel, Edgar, Jose and Josue Avila of Saragosa; three sisters, Martha Rivas Nevarez, Ester Rivas Nevarez and Consuelo Rivas Nevarez of Mexico. Peaceful Garden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
