Obituary (Moberly (MO) Semi-Weekly Monitor, May 9, 1916)- Bazil Hall, one of the best known residents of this city, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. Conway, 305 Morehead street, at 1:15 o'clock this afternoon. Mr. Hall had been ill for the past several weeks but it was only two or three days ago that his condition became such as to alarm his relatives. He was born in Kentucky May 27, 1843. Surviving him are three sons and three daughters: Jack, Robert and Wm. L. Hall, of this city; Mrs. D. Conway and Mrs. Ella Nichols, both of this city, and Mrs. Kate Pollard, of near Ash; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church and the G. A. R. He was a gentleman who was held in high esteem by all who knew him and news of his death will come as a shock to his many friends. Funeral services will be held from the Hickory Grove church near Ash at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Green, of Cairo, and burial will be in the Hickory Grove cemetery.
