Obie Burger, of 43 Goshen Ave., Washingtonville, died Thursday (Sept. 29, 1960) at his home after a long illness.
He had retired from Firth Carpet Co. in Firthcliffe last year.
Born in Leevart, N.Y. on Sept. 15, 1890. Mr. Burger was 70 years old. His father was the late Syrenus Burger while his mother was the late Mary Barley, of Cornwall. His wife is the former Eva. E. Wright.
His survivors are his wife; one son, Charles K. of Cornwall-on-Hudson; two sisters, Mrs. Aurelia Zoldak and Mrs. Harry Wilson of Cornwall; six brothers, George and Kennethy of Cornwall-on-Hudson; Ezra of Washingtonville; William and Syrenus Jr., of New Windsor, and Elmer of Cornwall; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Greene and Greene Funeral Home in Washingtonville, with the Rev. Ernest J. Myatt officiating. Interment will be in the Bethleham Cemetery.
