Virginia Boyd Williams, the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Marietta Kelly Boyd departed this life at the Rappahannock General Hospital on Wednesday, January 24, 2007.

She was born in Somers, Virginia on July 1, 1926 and educated in Nuttsville Public Schools. She joined Beulah Baptist Church during her early years.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Lawrence Williams on June 10, 1950 and out of this union, two children were born: Teresa and Patricia.

Virginia worked at RCV as a crab picker for many years until her health failed. She will be truly missed by all who came in contact with her. She always had a beautiful smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She would give you the shirt off her back.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: three sisters: Eleanor Kelly, Louvenia Boyd, and Evelyn Lee; and three brothers: Madison, Jacob, and Southern Boyd.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters: Teresa Chinn of Baltimore, Maryland and Patricia Williams of Litwalton, Virginia; a stepson, Raymond Smith of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a sister, Shirley Wood of Litwalton, whom she raised as her daughter and adored; two grandchildren: Anginelle Chinn of Suitland, Maryland and Lawrence Chinn of Laurel, Maryland; five great grandchildren: Carl Leo, Charles Xavier, Cheyanne Lanise, Corey Talib Chinn all of Suitland Maryland and Lailah Mone' Chinn of Laurel, Maryland; one ex son-in-law, Angrus Chinn of Baltimore, whom she loved and cherished like a son; six sisters: Mary Nickens of Lancaster, Virginia; Bernice Towles of Nuttsville, Virginia; Annie Mae Coleman of Kilmarnock, Virginia; Helen Boyd of Somers, Virginia; and Lillie Mae Boyd of Mollusk, Virginia; four brothers: Nathaniel Boyd, Jr. of Williamsburg, Virginia; Wendell Boyd of Richmond, Virginia; Major Boyd of Litwalton, and John Boyd of Knoxville, Tennessee; one aunt, Mary Davenport of Nuttsville; two uncles: Joe Kelly of Mollusk and Willie Kelly of Nuttsville; four sisters-in-law, Verlean Williams, Inez White, and Nettie Davenport all of Newton, Virginia and Jossephine Boyd of Litwalton, Virginia; three brothers-in-law: Alonzo Williams of Alfonso; Larry Wood of Litwalton and Howard Toweles of Nuttsville, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friend.

Interment services were held at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery where she was buried beside her husband. Friends and Family served as both floral and pall bearers.
