Greetings from Find A Grave,
We are writing to let you know that a Find A Grave volunteer has reported a problem with your photo request for John Perry.
They also reported, specifically:
The cemetery records are maintained by the City of Lapeer. They gave me the location of this grave as Block 12, Lot 66, Grave 12. The cemetery manager and I walked the entire area and there are no Perry markers. Other Perrys are buried in the same Block, about 20 yards away, in Lot 74. It may be that John's grave is unmarked. Sorry I could not help.

Michael Perry and his wife, in May 2016, provided the following info regarding the burial of John and his wife Alma, paraphrased, by stating:

"Years ago I found Jesse and Sophrona's headstones at Mount Hope cemetery circa 2000 ~2001. My wife asked me who John and Alma Perry were, as she found their headstones which were laying flat nearby Jesse and Sophrona's. So I remember seeing them, I could not believe that we found them as well but did not have a camera. [However ...do not now remember as it was abt 15 years ago,. I was there again on 5 May 2012 with no tools, I want to go back and probe the ground, and perhaps get lucky to find them again."

Hopefully someone can attempt to re-locate the graves. It appears that perhaps they might have disappeared below ground because the groundskeepers might have continually cut the grass and just left it without blowing it off or the wind not catching the cuttings. Perhaps using a probe -- shovel, sharp pole or stick, shoved into the ground near these other two graves mentioned might reveal a buried stone or sunken stone.

Other problem - Details:
I checked for headstones on May 31, 2016 and none were found.
