Funeral services for George W. Cox, Jr., 66, of Midwest City, Okla., will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox chapel with Minister Reid Schaub officiating. Burial will follow in the Kempner City Cemetery.
Mr. Cox died Monday in a Veterans Administration hospital in Oklahoma City.

He was born Nov. 25, 1921, in Hext. He married Ora Faye Wilson in 1940 in Kempner. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of Midwest City, Okla.; two sons, Michael W. Cox of Kansas City, Kan. and Mark Stanley Cox of Chula Vista, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Morrison of Olathe, Kan., and Mrs. Nance Wygle of Midwest City, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Nina Ficker; 10 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
