Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Epperson who have lived in Bluford for the past 45 years, observed their 61st wedding anniversary December 27,
1938. Mr. Epperson is 87 years of age and Mrs. Epperson is 78. They were married in Hamilton County, December 27, 1877, and
have one adopted child, Louie Epperson of Nell City, Indiana. Mr. Epperson was a merchant in Bluford for twenty years and has been
retired for the past twenty-two years.

Obit pub. Times-Leader, 09 Mar 1939; aged 87 years; d. 04 Mar 1939, Bluford. Son of Charles & Sarah Cross Epperson. Uncle of
Postmaster John W. Epperson of McL. Conducted a General Store in Hoodville 55 years ago. Leaves widow; 2 adopted sons, 2 bros.:
Ruby E. Epperson of Delafield & Joe Epperson of Mt. Vernon; 1 sister, Mrs. Myra Yates of Belle Rive. He raised Hattie,the daughter of James and Elizabeth (CLOAR) EPPERSON after Elizabeth died .They also raised Louie, the youngestson of Charle Davis and Laura EPPERSON after Laura died.
