Guro O. Frostad was born in Norway and emigrated to the United States in 1885. She married Ole Sjursen Tholo in 1889 in South Dakota. They had six children: Severt Olia Tholo, born March 10, 1889; Bertha Louise Tholo, born May 18, 1894; Lena Tholo born November 1896; Ella C Tholo, born July 1898; Clara E Tholo, born January 1900; and Julia Bertina Tholo, born February 28, 1892. She was widowed between 1900-1905 (est.) and she died August 1, 1943.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church at Parkland and leaves a son Severt O. of Tacoma; daughters, Mrs. Julia Storwick of Seattle; Mrs. Bertha Johnson of Tacoma; Mrs. Ella Hovd of Portland: brother in Norway; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Lynn chapel, the Rev. T. O. Svare presiding; burial at Mountain View Memorial park.
