This is a CENATAPH - Beatrice has two markers - the 1st here, beside her 1st husband, and the other at Bucahnan City Cemetery beside her daughter Effie L. Montgomery where she is buried. She died 2 Feb 1978 in Cedartown, Polk Co Ga.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beatrice was the daughter of Elijah & Lucy Burden
Beatrice married on 8 Sep 1907 to William Henry Latham, s/o John Tazwell Latham Sr & Queen Victoria Brown Latham
Beatrice and William's children:
Effie Mae Latham Montgomery (1908-1987)
William Hoke Latham (1910- )
Opal Latham (1911- )
~~~~~~~~~~~
BEATRICE WAS NOT MARRIED TO ADIJAH - Beatrice and her children resided with William's brother, Abijah Latham, until she remarried. She was clearly shown as sister-in-law, not wife, in the 1920 census. Abijah did not pass until 1932. Beatrice is shown as wife to Jim W. Ledbetter in the 1930 Cedartown census. Since Jim's 1st wife passed in May 1925 and their youngest daughter Nellie was born Jun 30, 1924 it is most likely Jim and Beatrice married shortly after his wife passed in 1925.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beatrice married "James Whatley Ledbetter"
