Arthur Riley Blackmon, age 82, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, passed on to be with the Lord Aug 7, 2011 with his family at his side.

Art was born Nov 4, 1928 in Glenwood, AR. Art served in the US Air Force for 23 years and earned the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He established a well known vinyl repair business for many years and was a talented carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, westerns, and playing cards with his family and friends. He was the third of four children of Veora and Dee Climons Blackmon.

He will be remembered by sister: Alice Rhodes and his sister-in-law: June Blackmon. His siblings Marie Kendall and Ken Blackmon preceded him to heaven. He will be missed dearly by his wife Gail, daughters: Diane Francis, Molly Bedell, Jill Steindler, Tami Foote and Terri Schottler.

The family wishes to thank North Memorial Hospice, especially the pastoral care of Rev. Dan Brodin.

Art touched the lives of many with his smile and maintained his sense of humor until the end.

Memorial service at Kozlak-Radulovich Maple Grove Chapel (13745 Reimer Dr.) Friday, August 12, 2011 at 1 Pm with visitation beginning at 12 Noon.
