GRANT SHOEMAKER
Grant Shoemaker, 85, of 107 West Gibson Ave., South Connellsville, was dead on arrival at Connellsville State Hospital at 7:05 am, today. He had resided in South Connellsville since 1899. He was born Mar 19, 1873 in Somerset County, son of the late Peter and Catherine Tidey (sic) Shoemaker. He was a member of the South Connellsville EUB Church and the I.O.O.F. Prior to his retirement 20yrs ago he was a carpenter for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Surviving are one son, Munden, at home; 2 grandchildren & one brother, Hilery of Hyndman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Etta Shoemaker, in 1948 & a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Corvin in 1918. The McCormick Funeral hime is in charge; services on Wed with the Rev.R.A.Nelson officiating. Interment in Hill Grove Cemetery.
