Mrs. Mary Nelson, 85, died at the Mount Pleasant Home at 11:15 o'clock Monday morning [February 3, 1930]. She had been ill for a week.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Haudenshield funeral home. Interment will be made in Linwood cemetery.
Mrs. Nelson, who had spent the greater part of her life in Dubuque, was a member of the Summit Congregational church.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Florence Nelson, Chicago, and one grandson, Fredrick Nelson. (Dubuque Telegraph Herald and Times Journal, Dubuque, IA, February 3, 1930)
