Anne C. Carifa, 92, of Enfield, widow of Alfred R. Carifa (2010), entered into eternal peace Tuesday (Sept. 6, 2011) at Blair Manor in Enfield. Born Oct. 8, 1918 in Hartford, Anne was the daughter of the late Patrick and Lena (McNamara) Cosgrove. An Enfield resident since 1960, Anne was a longtime communicant of Holy Family Church and was very involved in the parish. She was a member of the Holy Family Women's Guild and also had taught CCD for several years at the Church. Anne was also very proud of her Irish heritage and was a member of the Claddagh Club of Enfield. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her loving grandchildren. Anne leaves... Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Fitzpatrick. Anne's family wishes to thank the staff at Blair Manor for the wonderful care they provided for Anne...Committal will follow(9th) at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield...
