1. Pay all my debts, expenses of my last sickness, and my funeral.
2. To my beloved wife, LAURA A. JACKSON, in lieu of her statutory rights, all the household goods, furniture, fuel, and provisions at our home in Helt Township, IN, to be hers.
3. To my wife, LAURA A. JACKSON, the following real estate:
a. W side of SE ¼ Sec 24 T 16 N R 9 W - 40 acres
b. S side of NE ¼ Sec 24 T 16 N R 9 W - 20 acres
c. N end of W ½ NW ¼ Sec 20 T 16 N R 9 W - 45 acres
d. S fraction Sec 19 T 16 N R 9 W - 65 acres
e. SW fraction Sec 19 T 16 N R 9 W - 39.6 acres
f. Last 2 entries known as "Home Place"
4. My wife to have possession, use, and control of the "Home Place" during her natural life. At her death, the real estate is to go to my 2 children GLENN JACKSON and EMMA JACKSON AIKMAN, share and share alike. In case either of my children shall die before my wife, then his or her part shall go to his or her children of their body surviving. This shall not apply to adopted children. If either of my children shall die without leaving children of their body, then the real estate shall go to the surviving children of the one of my said children.
5. If both of our 2 above named children shall die without leaving children of their body, then said real estate shall go to the natural heirs of my body.
6. To my beloved son CALEB B. JACKSON, for his natural life, the following real estate:
a. SE ¼ Sec 24 T 16 N R 9 W - 140 acres
b. S side of NE ¼ Sec 24 T 16 N R 9 W - 20 acres - except 20 acres set side for my wife
c. If he dies, then land goes to children of his body. If none, then land goes to heirs of my body.
7. To my beloved son GLENN JACKSON, for his natural life, the following real estate:
a. NW ¼ Sec 19 T 16 N R 9 W - 160 acres
b. If he dies, then land goes to children of his body. If none, then land goes to heirs of my body.
8. To my beloved daughter EMMA JACKSON AIKMAN, for her natural life, the following real estate:
a. S end W ½ NW ¼ Sec 20 T 16 N R 9 W - 35 acres
b. NE ¼ Sec 19 T 16 N R 9 W - 150 acres
c. If she dies, then land goes to children of her body. If none, then land goes to heirs of my body.
9. To my wife LAURA A. JACKSON, 1/3 of all the residue of my property, both real and personal. The remaining 2/3 shall go to my children - CALEB B. JACKSON, GLENN JACKSON, and EMMA JACKSON AIKMAN, share and share alike.
10. I appoint my friend SAMUEL E. SCOTT Executor.
