Rev. Maurer was born in Pulcifer, Wis., Nov. 18, 1881, a son of the Rev. and Mrs. Fred Maurer. He came to Sheboygan in 1907 and while residing in this city was a member of Zion Reformed Church. His marriage to Mary Graf took place in North Dakota. After graduating from Mission House College and Seminary he entered the ministry with his first pastorate in Grenfell, Can., from1918 to 1921. He was pastor of Salem Reformed church in Winnipeg from 1921 until the time of his death.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Wallace, Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Jacob of Glendale, Calif., and Henry of Sheboygan, and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Huenemann, Austin, Minn., Ida Maurer, Manitowoc, and Mrs. D. E. Bosma, Eureka, SD.
