Pearle Whitehead of Bay City died Dec. 16 at his home. He was 79.
Mr. Whitehead was born May 3, 1902 in Hershey, Maine and had come west through Canada as a young man. He lived in Willow Ranch, Calif., Gervais and Scio before moving to Bay City 24 years ago. He was a retired logger.
Mr. Whitehead is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marriette, whom he married Nov. 27, 1931 in Salmon, Idaho and sister Rill Willett of Brookfield, Mass.
Funeral services were held Dec. 19 at Waud's Funeral Home, with Fr. Dick Rossman of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Vault entombment took place at Sunset Heights Memorial Gardens.
