Edith Lenore HAGLUND PRICE, 56, of Modesto died Friday at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital. She was a native of Modesto, the daughter of Lawrence Victor HAGLUND and Gladys Eileen BOBST. She was a bookkeeper for about 30 years, at one time working for Dr. Steve BENAK. She attended Modesto Elementary School, Modesto Academy and graduated from Monterey Bay Academy in 1953. Her husband, Lloyd Melvin PRICE, a postal carrier and a WW2 Army veteran, died July 28, 1994 at their home in Ceres, California at age 73. Edith was survived by her children, James L. WEST of Modesto, Elizabeth SOUZA of Eureka and Margaret TEJADA of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; stepchildren, Melvin PRICE and Martin PRICE of Modesto, Kent PRICE of Sunnyvale, Keith PRICE and Doug PRICE, both of Ceres, Diane McGILL of Ceres. Her brother Donald Arlen HAGLUND of Modesto died ept. 26, 1998 at age 66. Her sister, Mrs. Dennis W. (Lora Jean) SANFORD died of cancer October 21, 2009 at age 72. Gladys had four grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. She was buried in Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, California.
