Lloyd Melvin Price born May 23, 1921, a native of Ekland, Webster county, Missouri, was the son of Oscar M. PRICE and Jewel R. DODSON. He died July 28, 1994 at his home in Ceres, California at age 73. A US Army veteran of WW2, he enlisted February 25, 1945 at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, after 4 years of high school. He was Postal Service letter carrier nad had lived in Ceres, California for 31 years. His 2md wife, Edith Lenore (HAGLUND) PRICE (a bookkeeper) died November 13, 1992 at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital at age 56. Lloyd PRICE was survived by his children, Diane McGILL, Douglas R. PRICE and Melvin B. PRICE, all of Ceres; Martin PRICE of Modesto, Kent PRICE of Sunnyvale and Keith PRICE of Missouri; stepchildren James WEST of Modesto, Elizabeth SOUZA of Ukiah; Mrs Ricky V. (Margaret) TEJADA of Idaho. His brother, Donald Lee PRICE died in 1999 in Springfield, Greene county, Missouri. His brother Robert PRICE lived in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Lloyd had 10 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He and Edith were both buried in Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson, California.
