Stacyville (IA) Monitor, Thurs. July 26, 1945, p. 1:2. FRANCES ADAMS DIES AT WOODWARD. Was Patient in State Institution 35 Years; Burial at Stacyville. Frances Adams, age 41, died at Woodward IA, Monday, July 23, after being confined to that institution the past seventeen years. She had been an invalid all her life. E.P. Hatten went to Woodward, Tuesday, and brought the remains to the home of her aunt, Mrs. J.N. Wolf. Funeral services were held at Visitation church, Wednesday morning, with Rev. H.N. Manternach officiating. She was laid to rest beside her father and mother, and three brothers, who preceded her in death several years ago. Surviving are two sisters, Tillie, also a patient at Woodward, and Mrs. Harvey Miller, of Watertown WI.
