Cedar Rapids Evening Gazette of Friday September 6, 1901

At 7:40 last evening occurred the death of Mrs. E. Rasmussen, at the family home near Shiloh, from heart trouble, aged 27 years. The funeral will be held at the Shiloh M. E. church at 10 o'clock Saturday morning. Rev. Gilliand officiating; interment at Shiloh cemetery.

Mary May Stickle was born in Missouri May 1, 1874, but came to Linn county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Stickle, twenty years ago. She was united in marriage to E. Rasmussen in 1894, and to them were born two children, a son and a daughter, aged 6 and 3 years. Mrs. Rasmussen was a member of the Shiloh church and was greatly esteemed in the community where she had so long resided. The husband and family will have the sympathy of many friends.
