..Again the Mirror is called on to chronicle the death of a fellow townsman, and an old settler and an old soldier. Henry Moore passed from this life on Friday evening, May 11th., at 6 p.m., at the age of 76 years. The deceased was born in Waterloo, N. Y. in 1829 and homesteaded the quarter section which he owned until a few months ago and which is now a part of the Kensington townsite, in the year of 1871. The deceased served three years and eight months in the war of the rebellion. He was never married. For almost two years Uncle Henry had been afflicted with creeping paralysis which slowly but surely ended his life. The funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church by Rev. I. L. Clark, Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. and the remains were interred in the olive Branch cemetery.
..J. S. Moore and wife came from Indiana last fall and did everything possible for Henry until his death. J. S. was a nephew of the deceased.
